Our Story

A family legacy rooted in passion, tradition, and the land

The Beginning

Isabella & Luca Wines began with a simple dream: to honor the winemaking traditions of Portugal while creating something uniquely our own. What started as a passion project in the early mornings and late evenings after our day jobs has blossomed into a thriving family winery.

Isabella grew up among the vineyards of the Douro Valley, where her family had tended vines for generations. Luca, a trained agronomist from the Alentejo region, brought scientific precision and a deep respect for sustainable farming. Together, we combined heritage with innovation.

In 2018, we acquired a small hillside property with south-facing slopes and limestone-rich soil—perfect terroir for producing exceptional wines. We spent the first year rehabilitating the land organically, planting indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, and building our small-batch production facility.

Our Philosophy

The values that guide everything we do

Patience & Time

Great wine cannot be rushed. We give each vintage the time it needs to develop its full character and complexity, from careful fermentation to thoughtful aging.

Quality Over Quantity

We produce only what our vineyard can sustainably yield while maintaining exceptional quality. Every bottle is numbered, every batch is limited.

Respect for Terroir

Our wines are a pure expression of our land. We work with indigenous varieties, minimal intervention, and organic practices to let the vineyard speak for itself.

Sustainable Stewardship

We farm organically and biodynamically, protecting our land for future generations. Solar power, water conservation, and biodiversity are integral to our practices.

Our Vineyard

15 hectares of pristine Portuguese terroir

Grape vines

Nestled in the rolling hills of central Portugal, our vineyard benefits from warm days, cool nights, and limestone-rich soils that impart distinctive mineral notes to our wines. We cultivate traditional Portuguese varieties including Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Arinto, and Fernão Pires, each perfectly suited to our unique microclimate.
